A rainbow umbrella on gray rocks evokes forgotten emotions in a colorless world. A single hue has the power to transform the heart. The crashing wave…

We Really Do Look Alike

Two owls with sky-blue and green ribbons stand silently, echoing the warmth of a relationship that speaks without words.

On a small shelf against the wall,
two owl figurines stand side by side.
Their heads are slightly tilted toward each other,
their eyes not quite meeting,
yet their expressions already seem to connect.

The owl on the left wears a sky-blue bow tie,
the one on the right wears a deep green ribbon.
Strangely different, yet so similar.
Even without words,
it feels like they understand each other completely.

These tiny figurines are just decorations,
yet they strangely tug at the heart.
Perhaps it’s because they remind me of someone.
Two people, alike yet different,
sharing time together on some forgotten day.

There were days of arguments,
and days of sitting silently side by side.
But always, they stood in each other’s place.
Those scenes seem captured in these small figures.

In every glance and tilt of the head,
there’s a quiet affection.
Not flashy,
but memorable for its subtlety.
This pair of owls side by side
resembles the quiet everyday life of an old couple.

Looking at this photo again,
a smile appears without me noticing.
I want to resemble this calm.
To be someone who can convey feelings without loud words.
To be that kind of presence for someone.

These days, everything passes so quickly—
people, relationships, emotions.
So moments of stillness like this feel even more precious.
Like the owls,
the warmth from small, quiet things
stays in the heart much longer.

This quiet image today speaks so much to me.
And I suddenly think,
"We really do look alike."
