A walk along the curves of the city. In the blurred lights and soft sounds, the heart finds calm. A night that gently says, you're okay.
The city at night is always busy.
Each building flickers with lights, proving the bustle of the day,
and people move hurriedly along their own paths.
Yet within it all,
walking along a quietly flowing waterway and a winding trail
brings moments that feel like time itself has paused.
The path in the photo,
is a space where you can put down tangled thoughts
and focus only on your footsteps.
The sun sets, the sky darkens,
and the city begins to turn on its lights.
Just as the sky, ground, and people adjust to the night,
this path embraced me with a gentle warmth.
Even the blurred lights were beautiful.
Even if shaky, even if hazy,
there was a definite warmth within.
Emotions clearer than daylight were blooming in the dark.
The sound of flowing water was faint,
and people's steps were slow.
Some jogged,
some walked leisurely,
some just sat on benches and gazed at the sky.
That scenery,
within the crisscrossed straight lines of the city,
became a curve,
wrapping around my heart and slowly untangling it.
Sometimes, walking with no purpose like this
may be a way to find direction for the heart again.
In a landscape where I am not alone,
I too become a part of it.
And that night,
quietly says,
“In this moment, you are okay.”
